Waikelecise
Waikelecise is the WCA’s newest volunteer program, formed in May 2011 by General Manager Malcolm Ching. This group is created especially for our many residents who walk, jog and cycle in the community on a daily basis. There are a lot of things that pedestrians notice on property that motorists do not normally see, such as:
- Water leaking from a sprinkler head
- Trash on the ground
- Graffiti
- Landscaping damage
- Lifted concrete sidewalks
- Suspicious individuals or vehicles on property
Waikelecise is based on the idea that everyone doing their small part contributes to making Waikele the BEST and CLEANEST community in the State of Hawaii. There are no meetings to attend and there is nothing to purchase. The only requirement is that you have a desire to take care of YOUR community and do your part to preserve its beauty. Members of Waikelecise take the time to do what is right for the community because they have pride of ownership. They notify the association of concerns instead of turning their backs on problems in the community. Members of Waikelecise are part of the solution.
New members are given a safety green Waikelecise shirt and a Quick Reference Card with helpful information on reporting different problems in the community. If you are interested in becoming a part of this collaborative community effort, please submit the form below.
