2. How do I apply for a modification?

Applying for a modification is simple and WCA's helpful staff is ready to make the application process a painless one. As a general rule, anything you do that changes the outward exterior appearance of the property requires a WCA Modifications Committee permit. Here are the simple steps to follow:

1) Complete a Modification Application. 2) Provide two (2) copies of your plot plan showing a drawing of your proposed modification on top of the plot plan. (The plot plan drawing is an arial view drawing showing your entire property line with an outline of your house.) 3) Provide details. Detailed drawings are required if you are applying for a wall, fence, trellis, solar panels etc. Building additions and covered lanais require building plans.

Fees for review of your application vary depending on the type of modification (check with the WCA office regarding these fees).
